On Friday, West Elementary students participated in their monthly VIP lunch program. The program allows third, fourth, and fifth-grade students who have demonstrated positive behavior in the classroom to have lunch with role models in the community (business owners, police officers, firefighters, etc.) and to learn from them. For the month of November, West Elementary invited school board President Ruth Davis and board member Wesley Walker to participate for lunch, snacks, and conversation.
